Empire Tax Services

A tax practice,
rebuilt and
shipped end to end.

Empire Tax Services helps working families, self-employed filers, and entrepreneurs across five states. We replaced their budget WordPress site with a fast, fully custom Next.js build — booking, blog, and an SEO/AEO foundation that earns its own traffic.

The brief

Off WordPress,
onto its own.

Empire had a budget WordPress/Elementor site — slow, generic, and hard to find. The booking and client ops already lived in Tax Nitro, so the site needed to become a fast marketing and content layer on top.

The mandate: a fully custom build in Empire's real brand, with booking and forms wired to their existing Tax Nitro account through a single swappable config, a blog they can grow, and an SEO/AEO foundation strong enough that search engines and AI assistants can actually find and quote them. People-first, and indexable from day one.

What we shipped

Five blocks of work.

Every block landed in production — a real site, real bookings, real content, indexable on day one.

  1. 01

    Custom brand site

A full rebuild off a budget WordPress/Elementor site — a fast, custom Next.js build in Empire’s real colors (lime green on near-black), with a cinematic once-per-session hero over the actual team photo.

    • Next.js 14 App Router
    • Tailwind + Framer Motion
    • Cinematic hero intro
  2. 02

    Booking & lead capture

Bookings and forms run through the client’s existing Tax Nitro (GoHighLevel) account via a single, swappable config — dedicated pages for booking, starting a return, and joining the team.

    • Swappable backend config
    • Responsive iframe embeds
    • Zero-layout-shift loaders
  3. 03

    Service pages

Dedicated, SEO-indexed pages for tax preparation, consultation, and the “start a tax business” opportunity — each with its own feature set, photography, and answer-ready FAQs.

    • Statically generated routes
    • Per-service FAQs
    • Internal cross-linking
  4. 04

    MDX blog

A file-based MDX blog with starter articles targeting tax-season search intent — document checklists, self-employed deductions, and what to do about an IRS letter.

    • MDX content pipeline
    • Article + FAQ schema
    • Reading time + tags
  5. 05

    SEO / AEO foundation

Per-page metadata, JSON-LD (AccountingService, Service, FAQPage, Article, Breadcrumb), a generated sitemap and robots, and FAQ content written to be quoted by AI answer engines.

    • JSON-LD structured data
    • Sitemap + robots
    • FAQ for answer engines

Live

The product
in motion.

The hero is the real Empire team in their green polos. The whole brand is built around it: near-black canvas, lime-green accent, a cinematic logo intro that plays once, then lifts to reveal the team.
